Using the EP2wire system from YODA, an Ethernet network with PoE can be established up to 2000 ft (600 meters) over two-wire RJ-11 cables (e.g. telephone cable, Bell wire). The existing two-wire analog telephone cable can be used to connect a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet device (for instance, PC, WLAN, IP camera, IP telephone or IP door phone). For 2000 ft of Bell wire, approx. 20/20 Mbps data is transferred or at 60/60Mbps for shorter distance. The EP2wire device is working in pair, one side is sender and other side is receiver.
The two EP2wire nodes are supplied via PoE from the network RJ45 cable that feeds in. The connected devices are supplied with up to 7 watts(connect to 15.4 W PSE, in compliant to IEEE 802.3af) or 20 watts(connect to 40W High Power PSE ) via PoE. EP2wire series consist of three models: compact metal case for EP2wire-M(sender), EP2wire-S(receiver) & IP-65 certified outdoor enclosure EP2wire-ODU (receiver). EP2wire-M, EP2wire-S are wall-mounted and EP2wire-ODU is post-mounted.
